Q: Does Woodgate have a Neighborhood Association?
A: Yes. The Woodgate Neighborhood Association was incorporated in 1984.
Q: Is membership in the association mandatory?
A: No. Membership in the Woodgate Neighborhood Association (WNA) is automatic for each resident who lives in Woodgate. Paid Membership in WNA is OPTIONAL (also known as voluntary) and not a requirement for home ownership in the subdivision. Paying the yearly dues is highly encouraged and provides added benefits such as voting rights and ability to be on the board.
Q: Does the Woodgate Subdivision have Deed Restrictions on our homes?
A: Yes. The Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&R) were placed on each home in the subdivision when Woodgate was built. Those restrictions are still in place today. It's important to understand that all restrictions and city code apply to all homeowners - regardless of paid membership status in WNA.
Q: What happens if residents don't comply with the restrictions or city code?
A: Any resident within the subdivision, or the Architectural Control Committee, or the Association, or Carrollton may initiate proceedings to enforce compliance by contacting the City of Carrollton.
