Get to know Rick...
My name is Rick Jackson, and I’ve been proud to call 2832 Cambridgeshire Drive home for the past 18 years. I am excited to announce my candidacy for 2nd Vice President of the Woodgate Neighborhood Association (WNA).
After a 38-year career with Southwest Airlines, where I supported their air-to-ground radios and phone systems, I retired with the nickname “Action Jackson.” I earned that name by working across many departments, building strong relationships, and finding solutions that ensured goals were met. Team collaboration, conflict resolution, and problem-solving have always been at the heart of how I work.
When my wife JoAnn and I chose Woodgate, it was because we wanted a safe, welcoming neighborhood to raise our family. Over the years, I’ve grown more committed to keeping our community a place where families feel connected, supported and proud to live.
If elected, I will:

Support the WNA Board in carrying out its mission.

Help organize and promote meetings and neighborhood events.

Represent our association at neighborhood and city meetings.

Provide support to committees as needed.

Coordinate communication between the Board and residents.

Serve as a resource for neighbors’ concerns, ideas and feedback.
I believe strong neighborhoods are built on strong relationships. As 2nd Vice President, I will listen carefully, communicate openly and act consistently to strengthen those relationships. With my dedication, communication skills and collaborative spirit, I am committed to helping our community thrive.
