How To Submit a Code Complaint
All of us are the eyes and ears to help direct the city when a property needs their attention. If you notice an issue involving property maintenance, an issue involving an absentee-owned home, neighborhood safety concerns, rental activity, street parking issues, tall grass/weeds, or something else that may violate City Code, you can submit a complaint or send an email to the Architecture Committee and make them aware.

Architecture Committee Submitted 27 Code Enforcement Complaints in August
In August alone, the Architecture Committee submitted 27 Code Enforcement complaints to the City of Carrollton involving fences in disrepair, high grass and weeds, trash, and a junked vehicle. We’re happy to report that good progress has already been made in resolving some of these issues.

House Fire at 1203 Mackie
An early morning house fire caused significant damage to a Woodgate home Tuesday morning, August 25. Carrollton Fire Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire at 1203 Mackie Drive at approximately 1:00AM.

If you’re out for an early morning walk in Woodgate, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Cheryl Watkins (or at least her enthusiastic three-year-old Australian Shepherd, Boomer). Since moving to 1037 Clinton Street in 1986, Al and Cheryl have become familiar faces in the neighborhood and have spent four decades making Woodgate feel like home.

Major Construction Planned for Frankford & Hebron
We recently spoke to the senior engineer at the City of Carrollton and have an update on the major construction projects that are currently planned for Frankford Road and Hebron Parkway to upgrade the quality of those roads. Median landscaping will be enhanced at the same time.
They will be removing and then replacing the current concrete in all lanes and medians, while keeping their current configuration of lanes and medians once the project is completed.
