ur 2nd Annual Holiday in the Park was nothing short of magical! Families, friends, and neighbors gathered from Woodgate, Cambridge Estate, Nottingham Estates, and Sumner Oaks to celebrate the season together, turning the Bessire Park into a joyful winter wonderland.

December President's Update
Just like that, Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is quickly approaching! Woodgate is getting festive for the season, the decorations and lights throughout the neighborhood look great. With this being my last WNA Update as President, I would like to thank my fellow officers on the Board: Ellen McLoughlin, Patti Patak, Ken Wray, and Susan Mitchell for all their hard work this year.

Highlights from our Fall Festival & Potluck
If you weren’t able to make it to this year’s Fall Festival and Potluck, you may want to go ahead and mark your calendar for the next one. Maple Court turned into a cozy fall hangout as 45 neighbors stopped by throughout the evening what felt like the perfect blend of comfort food, good company and easygoing fun. Not to mention we gathered lots of canned goods to donate to Metrocrest Services too!

Happy Halloween, Woodgate!
We’re still waiting on the latest report from the City of Carrollton, but here in Woodgate, things are looking good! There have been no crimes against property to report! What we are seeing are some incredible Halloween decorations lighting up the neighborhood. From ghosts and goblins to clever, spooky setups, it’s clear everyone’s getting into the spirit! It’s a great reminder of what makes our neighborhood special.

Neighborhood Safety Starts with Us
A quick reminder to stay alert and look out for one another. Earlier this morning, two men attempted to get into the back gate at Sean and Jade Bruce’s house on Mackie Drive. Thankfully, their gate was locked and they couldn't get in.

Early Voting is Open in Denton County
Early voting for the November elections is officially underway in Denton County, and it’s a great time to skip the crowds and make sure your vote counts. Early voting is open now through October 31, 2025, so don’t wait until Election Day.

Carrollton Police Now Have an Easy Online Tool to Report Non-Emergency Crimes
The Carrollton Police Department (CPD) has launched a reporting system for citizens to submit non-emergency police reports quickly and easily through a secure form.

Proxy Ballot Voting
To clear up any confusion that has been circulating, our proxy ballot process for our upcoming Annual Meeting this Saturday, October 18 is valid, secure, and fully compliant with Texas law.

Sprinklers Repaired at the Clinton Entrance!
Great news! I am happy to report that the water at our Clinton entrance off Old Denton is flowing again! The repairs to the pipeline extension to Clinton has been completed by the City of Carrollton, and new sprinklers have been installed. After several years of start and stops, we’re finally back in business.

What a wonderful evening it was for our annual National Night Out! The weather was perfect, the snacks were definitely tasty and the company delightful. About 50 neighbors came out throughout the evening to enjoy games, good conversation and plenty of laughs.
