City Updates: Road Construction and Utility Fees

Hello, Woodgate Residents! We have a few updates on City-related business and activities:  

Road Construction Updates

The Frankford/Hebron road construction we outlined in our June newsletter was originally planned to begin on Frankford in October, but is delayed as the City works with utilities such as Oncor and Atmos to make sure they are not in conflict with any of the proposed improvements. 

However, a separate construction project has started on Frankford Road. TXDOT has begun bridge replacement on the westbound Frankford Road bridge over Furneaux Creek. Between Standridge Road and Josey Lane, the westbound lanes will be closed. The eastbound lanes of Frankford will be used for both east and westbound traffic. This project is anticipated to complete in the Summer 2027.

New Stormwater Fee, Increased Sanitation Fees

The City of Carrollton is adding a new stormwater maintenance fee to residents' utility bills each month, beginning October 1, 2026. Residents will pay between $48 and $84 annually, with around 80% of properties falling into Tier 2 rate of $7.25 per month. Sanitation service fees will also see an increase from $26.30 to $27.36 for Carrollton solid waste customers. Get all the details on the City of Carrollton website.

Community Crime Map

Based on the LexisNexis Community Crime Map, no crimes were reported in Woodgate in the month of September.
