We recently spoke to the senior engineer at the City of Carrollton and have an update on the major construction projects that are currently planned for Frankford Road and Hebron Parkway to upgrade the quality of those roads. Median landscaping will be enhanced at the same time.
They'll be removing and then replacing the current concrete in all lanes and medians, while keeping their current configuration of lanes and medians once the project is completed.

The Frankford Road project (which will impact us the most) will be divided into three segments; with construction expected to progress from east to west:
Standridge to Old Denton,
Old Denton to Eisenhower/Rosemeade
Eisenhower/Rosemeade to I-35.
During each segment's construction, the segment will have only two travel lanes in each direction, presumably having a significant impact on traffic congestion.
Frankford Road construction is expected to begin this upcoming September/October 2026. Each of the 3 segments is estimated to take between 12 to 18 months to finish before starting the next segment, so the Frankford Road project is anticipated to complete in the Spring of 2030. Hebron will follow this same three segment sequential approach, commencing in Spring of 2027 with completion in Fall 2031.
All Woodgate residents should expect delays around these areas and keep these projects in mind when planning estimated travel times.
These projects are funded by City of Carrollton bonds and Denton County.
