Meet Your Neighbors: Jordan & Lindsey Wallander

There are some new faces on Mackie Drive! Say hello to Jordan and Lindsey Wallander, the new owners of 1211 Mackie Drive and one of Woodgate’s newest neighbors.

Jordan and Lindsey met in 2019, married in 2023, and made the move from Plano to Woodgate at the end of April. Even more exciting, their Woodgate house is their first home together. Both grew up in the DFW area, so they knew this area well, but it didn’t take long for Woodgate to win them over.

The neighborhood’s convenient location initially caught their attention, but it was Woodgate’s character that really sold them. They loved the huge established trees, landscaping, wildlife, and the fact that the homes don’t all look alike. From different architectural styles to gardens that reflect each homeowner’s personality, they found the kind of established neighborhood they were looking for. And since moving in, they say the friendly welcome from their new neighbors has made them feel even better about their decision.

Jordan works in Information Security, while Lindsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor. When they're not at work, they have plenty of interests to keep them busy! They enjoy golf, tennis, skiing, board games, puzzles, video games, escape rooms, and late-night walks around the neighborhood. They’re also perfectly happy spending an evening at home watching movies, true crime shows, or the guilty pleasure of reality TV.

Music has been a big part of their relationship from the beginning. When they first met, they bonded over a shared love of music, especially music from the 1970s! Over the years, they’ve built an extensive record collection and still enjoy hunting down favorite albums to add to it.

They also like getting out and exploring. Since moving to Carrollton, they’ve had fun discovering restaurants throughout Koreatown. Sixty Vines in Plano remains one of their all-time favorites, especially since a recent trip to Napa sparked a new interest in wine tasting. You might also find them at Golf Ranch in Richardson, tackling an escape room in The Colony, or heading into Dallas or Fort Worth for a concert or play.

As first-time homeowners, they’re excited to put down roots and become part of our community. So, if you see Jordan and Lindsey taking one of their evening strolls around the neighborhood, be sure to say hello and welcome them to Woodgate!
