October President's Update: A Busy Fall Ahead for Woodgate!

Hello, Woodgate Neighbors! As we move into October, and the weather finally starts to cool, a couple of significant neighborhood events to bring people together are right around the corner!
National Night Out
Our combined National Night Out and Fall Festival is on October 6th at 6:30PM in The Cambridgeshire Cul-de-sac. Bring your potluck contribution and join your Woodgate neighbors for an evening out. The Carrollton Police Department and others have been invited, and we're optimistic they'll join us again as they did back in April. (Keep in mind they still have a day job!) 🙂
WNA Annual Meeting
Eleven days later on Saturday, October 17th we will have the Annual Election and General Meeting of the members, at 10:00AM at the Grace Lutheran Church. It will be held in the meeting room at 1200 E. Hebron Parkway.
Holiday Event Planning
FYI, we’re still working out the details for our Holiday Christmas Celebration scheduled for Sunday, December 13. Right now, we’re considering two options: returning to the very popular Christmas in the Park at Berkshire Park, or bringing back an old Woodgate favorite, a hayride to see the Christmas lights throughout the neighborhood.
Whichever direction we go, you can count on hot chocolate, plenty of holiday treats, Santa, and a great time with neighbors.
One favor if we bring back the hayride: we’ll need access to a flatbed trailer with working brake lights. If you have one, or know someone who does and might be willing to help, please let me know!
See you at the events!
Stay Classy Woodgate,
Rick Wood
WNA President
