House Fire at 1203 Mackie

An early morning house fire caused significant damage to a Woodgate home Tuesday morning, August 25. Carrollton Fire Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire at 1203 Mackie Drive at approximately 1:00AM.

According to PulsePoint, eight Carrollton Fire Rescue units responded to the incident, including BC112, E110, E115, M115, Q112, T114, USAR111 and USAR114. Firefighters worked to bring the fire under control around 2AM. Crews remained at the scene afterward, with the incident officially clearing at 3:00AM., more than two hours after the initial call.

Fortunately, homeowner Mark Skokan was home when the fire began and was able to safely get out of the house. While Mark escaped, the home sustained significant damage from the fire.

At this time, the cause of the fire has not been confirmed.
