Landscaping Tips That Can Improve Curb Appeal and Visibility

Boxwoods

As we all know, a well-maintained yard does more than enhance curb appeal. It can help create a more open and welcoming feel throughout the entire neighborhood; while also supporting good overall upkeep and visibility around the home.

Here are a few helpful landscaping tips homeowners may want to consider:

  • Keeping shrubs and bushes trimmed to around 3 feet tall, especially near windows, to maintain a neat appearance and balanced landscape design.

  • Trim tree branches up to around 6 to 7 feet from the ground to help keep walkways, driveways, and sight lines open.

  • Avoid overly dense or overgrown landscaping around sidewalks, doors, windows, and entryways.

  • Maintaining clear visibility from the street to the front of your home whenever possible. Open sight lines help homes feel more inviting and well cared for, plus provides a sense of security so there aren't places to hide.

Regular trimming and seasonal upkeep helps protect property values, improve the overall appearance of our neighborhood and even provides an added sense of visibility and security around the home.
