Fall is officially here, and we're going to be busy in the coming months around Woodgate. We have the Annual Meeting and Election of Board Officers coming up, along with multiple neighborhood events!

National Night Out

Tuesday, October 7th is National Night Out will be held in the Upper Magnolia Cul-De-Sac from 6-8 pm. We'll have refreshments available. Feel free to bring a favorite snack or side dish to share with other neighbors to enjoy! We have registered our the function with Carrollton Police Department and hope to see everyone there!

WNA Annual Meeting & Election

The WNA Annual Meeting & Election will take place on Oct 18, 2025, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at E. L. Kent Elementary School – Cafeteria (1800 W Rosemeade Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75007)

If you want to get more involved with WNA, here is your chance. All Board Positions are up for election at this meeting. Per our Bylaws, candidates seeking an elected Board position must announce their intent for a position by October 15, 2025 (minimum of 72 hours before our annual meeting on October 18). These volunteer roles serve a 2-year term, starting January 1, 2026.

I also want to remind everyone to vote in the upcoming election or run for a position on the Board, you do have to be a paid member of WNA.

Proxy Voting

I have received emails about Proxy Voting as well. We'll be finalizing the process, creating updated Proxy forms and the information will be sent out to everyone far in advance of the meeting. Stay tuned!

Holiday Gathering

At the meeting we will also discuss and decide the location of the our Holiday Party. As I have said all year, the Board will listen to the membership to decide where to have the party. Many loved Holiday in the Park with Santa last year where we gathered with our surrounding neighborhoods, some did not. With that being said, the Board will continue to be transparent and leave it to the membership. Whichever way the majority supports, we will move in that direction.

October Yard of the Month

Lastly, I would like to congratulate Brent & Whitney Springer at 1018 Magnolia as October Yard of the Month! In the past, Yard of the Month was recognized from May to September, but I wanted to extend it one more month to recognize more of the beautiful lawns we have in Woodgate.
