In the February newsletter, we sent out a survey to get a feel for what issues homeowners feel are important but what issues you feel need to be addressed. The survey covered topics including dues, future events, the WNA Newsletter, and lastly an open forum for questions, ideas, recommendations, etc.
I would like to thank all those who have taken the survey so far. As of February 13th, we have had 46 completed. I would like to encourage everyone to participate and have your voice heard. We are not only getting a lot of good information and ideas, but areas that need attention.
Most of the responses we have received revolve around the same key items of importance:
Safety
Maintaining Property Value
STR Enforcement
Neighborhood Beautification
Future Events
WNA Communication
I can assure you all that your ideas will be heard and your questions answered.
Dave Waters
I do want to address a topic of concern that was mentioned in many of the survey responses we have received so far. It seems there is a lot of confusion over who or where to get your official correspondence, newsletter, and information concerning WNA.
As you all know, our former President, Dave Waters, has his own private Woodgate Facebook Group. Many homeowners are members of the group and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I want to clarify that it is not the official Facebook group of WNA. I encourage all members to join the Official Woodgate Neighborhood Association Group that was created so all members can participate without being blocked or removed.
There have also been questions concerning Dave’s personal newsletter, which is also not the official newsletter of WNA. Dave is a concerned neighbor, and all neighbors deserve to be heard, but he no longer represents or speaks on behalf of WNA or the Board.
All official WNA information, correspondence, and the WNA Newsletter, would come from the Woodgate Neighborhood Association Facebook Page or Woodgate Neighbors Email.
I want to thank everyone again for taking the time to participate in the survey and again I want to let you know all input is valuable. The survey is open until February 28th. We will post a summarization of information received and use the information to collaborate with all members to address issues, event ideas, and much more.
Thank you,
Sean Bruce WNA President
