Architectural Committee and Our Shared Community Standards

Updated: Jan 24

As a reminder, our CC&Rs filed by the original developer of Woodgate are binding and enforceable on every property in the subdivision. They were created to establish a level of quality and to help protect the long-term value, appearance and enjoyment of our neighborhood.

The Architectural Committee helps apply these standards in a fair and consistent way, with the goal of keeping small concerns from turning into larger issues down the road. In case you are wondering, CC&Rs stands for Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions. They're restrictions attached to your property deed. Hence, the term “Deed Restrictions”. Both terms are interchangeable.

The committee also lends a hand with concerns like high weeds or visible trash. While these matters are usually handled by the City of Carrollton, the committee helps point homeowners in the right direction and (when helpful) assists with contacting the city so issues can be addressed.

All of our committee members are neighbors who volunteer their time to serve Woodgate. To support them in doing that work responsibly, it’s also important that the WNA has basic protections in place. This includes appropriate insurance coverage that helps ensure volunteers can continue serving Woodgate with peace of mind.

Questions or Concerns?

We believe the enforcement of our CC&Rs is vital to maintaining Woodgate to the level we all desire. We would love your feedback on this. If there are any questions or concerns regarding our CC&R's, please contact the Architecture Committee at review@woodgateneighbors.com.

Thank you,

Steve Sainton Architectural Committee Chair
