Hello, Woodgate! First, I want to say a big thanks for the large group of neighbors that turned out for our “Red White & Wheels” ice cream and parade event. Great turnout, great fun, great neighbors and great interaction among neighbors! And the Texas heat made the ice cream even more yummy! And a special treat was getting to meet several of our new neighbors.

Looking forward, be sure to mark your calendar for our Virtual Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 18th. Being in the "dog days" of summer, vacations still going on, and school starting on August 11, we thought this would be a good alternative to the in-person Town Hall like we had in April and the in-person general meeting we have planned in October.
For the Virtual Town Hall Meeting, we will be using Google Meet. We'll be sure to send everyone the link to access the meeting via email on Tuesday, August 18. It is free to use and anyone with the link we provide will be able to join.
As a part of that Virtual Meeting format, we encourage you to submit your questions online for me and the Board. We will take these questions and answer them during the meeting.
I also want to mention we (as the Board and Susan Michell our Government Liaison) continue to monitor Carrollton city government, and to a lesser extent state government actions. Because decisions made in Austin can have an impact on the decisions of our local government. As a reminder, the purpose of all of this is to make neighbors aware of matters that might affect Woodgate or may be of interest to our neighborhood.
Stay cool and stay classy, Woodgate!
Rick Wood
WNA President
