Hello, Neighbors! I am Ellen McLoughlin, our WNA Secretary. I recently attended the Carrollton State of the City Meeting. They covered a broad range of updates and provided valuable insights into the many ways our city is improving and growing.
Carrollton remains one of the safest cities in the DFW Metroplex, and that's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our local departments. From the fire station to the police, our first responders are ready to serve. Our Carrollton Fire Department is fully staffed! Our Carrollton Police Department is almost fully staffed—just two vacancies remaining—ensuring our streets stay safe and secure.
Exciting infrastructure developments continue to unfold across Carrollton! The city has already repaired or replaced over 30 miles of roads and more than 15 miles of sidewalks, making it easier and safer to get around. And with a growing population of more than 134,000, the city is keeping pace with demand by focusing on additional infrastructure improvements, parks, and community spaces.
Big things are also happening around the Trinity Mills Station, where construction is well underway on apartments and dining options, and the addition of new Marriott hotels in our area that will provide even more amenities for residents and visitors. The Silver Line (East-West train) will also become operational in 2026.
It’s clear that Carrollton is on the rise, and the sense of community spirit is stronger than ever!
