Spring is right around the corner—only three weeks away—and it’s already starting to feel like it! With warmer weather ahead, my update is all about spring and what’s coming up in our neighborhood.
Beautification & Infrastructure Updates
John Hannon from the City of Carrollton Parks and Recreation Department expects the water at our Clinton & Old Denton entrance to be turned on mid‑month. Our Beautification Committee is getting ready with our Woodgate Entrances Clean-Up scheduled for Saturday, March 21 at 9AM. If you'd like to volunteer a few hours to help, that would be great!
Speaking of water, our neighbors on Redwood are very happy to report that water is no longer running wastefully down the street. On Monday, February 16, several beneficial improvements were completed at the 2909 property, including:
Replacement of the damaged curb caused by long‑term water saturation.
Removal of a dead and hazardous Bradford Pear tree.
Upcoming Spring Events
We're exploring a couple of spring get‑togethers:
Town Hall Meeting, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 11. This will be confirmed or rescheduled in the next couple of weeks.
A neighborhood social event, likely toward the end of April. Timing will depend on confirmation of the Town Hall meeting.
More details coming soon!
Thank You & Dues Reminder
Congratulations to the winners of our featured dues promotion! A big "Thank You" to all neighbors who've already paid their dues, and to our generous sponsors, Gloria’s Latin Cuisine and Texas Roadhouse.
While the dues promotion has ended, the request for dues continues. Your support of Woodgate is critically important since it funds communication, events, beautification, and neighborhood administration. If you haven’t paid yet, please consider doing so now:
I’ll be back mid‑month with another informational and educational article.
Stay classy, Woodgate!
Rick Wood
