Spring is officially here and it’s easy to see with lawns looking great throughout the neighborhood!
As discussed last month, many homeowners wanted the Yard of the Month brought back and we did just that. I want to start by congratulating Rick & JoAnn Jackson at 2832 Cambridgeshire for being our May Yard of The Month! They have put a lot of work into their landscape, and it is definitely worth recognition.
Upcoming Zoom Meeting
We'll be having a WNA Zoom Meeting on Wednesday, May 7th at 7 PM. We'll discuss survey results, the budget for this year, and will also be an open forum to discuss anything else concerning WNA. We encourage you to join us! Zoom details and how to access the meeting will be provided by email.
WNA Board Update
As of last week, the Treasurer position has become vacant, and we're looking into filling the position. This will also be discussed during our Zoom Meeting. In addition, we have many open positions on various committees throughout WNA. We've had little response to the online sign-ups. We need your help! Not only does having more people bring new ideas, but it keeps more homeowners involved. If you're interested, please sign up online or message a member of the Board.
Rentals in Woodgate
In the past month, there was a rental posted within the neighborhood involving renting of rooms. This was addressed by the Architectural Committee and the City was notified and are now involved. I think we can all agree that STR’s don’t have a place in Woodgate, so we need to stay diligent. I would encourage rentals to be reported to the city immediately. If you do not feel comfortable, please notify the Architectural Committee or any member of the Board and we can notify the city on your behalf.
It's time for a Fiesta!
As you have all seen signs throughout Woodgate, we're having our Cinco in the Cul-de-sac this Sunday (May 4th at 2PM) on Staffordshire to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! We've had 30-40 RSVP's and I hope many more come enjoy some good food and meet up with fellow neighbors. We'll have a taco bar, balloon arch for photos, and activities for the kids. We hope to see you there!
I hope everyone has a great May and I look forward to seeing you this weekend. As always, reach out to me or any Board member with any question or concerns you may have.
Thank you,
Sean
