Say hello to Ken and Shirley Wray! They've been proud Woodgate residents for 22 years, residing at 1017 Magnolia Drive.

Ken and Shirley’s family keeps them on their toes with two adult children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren spread across four different states. As they like to joke, Christmas is always an expensive season at the Wray house. And let's not forget their much-loved Poodle, Kera (who they say is the true boss of their household).
Shirley is a Dallas native who only briefly lived in Virginia before returning home. She’s especially close with her two sisters who also live in the area. After a career as an office administrator, she now enjoys gardening, crafting, photography, and creating photo albums. She’s also a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan who rarely misses a game.
Ken grew up moving often thanks to his father’s 20-year Air Force career, with stops as far away as Japan! He eventually graduated from high school in Tucson and attended the University of Arizona before becoming a business owner. Now retired, Ken enjoys reading and creating art with pencils and watercolor pencils. He also current volunteers as a Vice President on the Woodgate Neighborhood Association Board.
Together, Ken and Shirley share a love for dining out at local favorites like BoomerJack’s, Christina’s Mexican Restaurant and Ford’s Garage. They also enjoy attending arts and crafts festivals around the DFW area and keep their days at home fun with spirited rounds of Dominoes, Yahtzee, Skipbo, and Rummikub (though they both insist no cheating is allowed).
After more than two decades in Woodgate, Ken and Shirley say they feel blessed to live in such a friendly neighborhood filled with tree-lined streets and well-kept homes. They especially enjoy neighborhood gatherings and dinners with friends.
Be sure to say hello when you see Ken and Shirley out walking around the neighborhood with Kera (chances are she'll be leading the way)!
