Meet Your Neighbors: Michael & Hollis

We’re excited to kick off a new monthly series of introducing you to your fellow neighbors throughout Woodgate! We'd like to introduce two of Mackie Drive’s newest faces — Michael Russo and Hollis Andrews! The couple moved into 1201 Mackie Drive in May 2024, after what they describe as a very long and painful house hunt. Fortunately, they’ve found the perfect place in Woodgate!
Michael, originally from New York, made the move to Texas in 2020, while Hollis, a Texas native, is happy to call the DFW area home after many years in central Texas. Since settling into Mackie Drive, they’ve quickly felt a sense of belonging thanks to the very warm welcome they received from their surrounding neighbors.
When they’re not relaxing at home or visiting their favorite Dallas restaurant, Sister on Greenville Avenue, you can usually find them enjoying their hobbies.
Michael stays active year-round — skiing in the winter and biking around the local trails in Carrollton whenever the Texas heat allows. When Hollis isn't studying to finish his degree, he's always looking for a good story. You’ll find him diving into novels or wandering through whatever video game world catches his imagination.
Looking ahead, they’re planning to expand their family — with a dog or two possibly in the future! Woodgate can always use more cute dogs! If you see Michael and Hollis out and about, be sure to stop and say hello!
