Introducing Scott and Ann Warren, located at 1201 Sycamore Drive! Since moving into Woodgate in 2018, they’ve brought with them a deep sense of family, a flair for weekend projects, and a genuine love for the neighborhood they call home. Their journey to Woodgate wasn’t a quick one—they toured over 30 homes in the Carrollton area before finding the perfect fit. And once they stepped through the door, they knew right away they had found something special.
Unlike many couples in their stage of life, Scott and Ann were looking to upsize rather than downsize. They moved in with a bigger purpose—creating space to care for Scott’s mother, Bev, while also raising their youngest daughter, Hannah, who was then just starting high school. Since then, the family has grown in many beautiful ways. Bev has since passed, and Hannah is now a neuroscience nurse at Medical City Dallas. Their three daughters are all thriving—two in nursing and one in the business world—and the real stars these days are their three adorable grandkids, including identical twin granddaughters and the family’s first grandson. After years of being the only guy in the house, Scott is finally not alone!
The Warrens live life to the fullest. Ann is a counseling secretary at our local Creekview High School, and Scott works in manufacturing, but weekends are when their creativity really shines. Whether it’s Scott working the yard, or the two of them hard at work on another project in the garage (often something Ann lovingly “talked Scott into”), there’s always something happening at the Warren house.
They love road trips on the back roads (while using an old-school Mapsco, of course), hiking, movies, dining out at Taverna Rossa, and spending time with their ever-growing family. Ann has a passion for thrift shopping and rescuing “orphaned” furniture, while Scott has a past as a speed-skater and has even worked on a Sprint Car pit crew.
During the week, chances are you’ll spot them out walking with their lively pack of four dogs—none of which technically belong to them, but all of whom are now part of the family. Harley, Max, Trixie, and Koda (plus Oliver the cockatiel) bring a joyful chaos to their home. What the Warrens love most about Woodgate is the pride neighbors take in their homes, the friendly greetings, and the sense of belonging they felt almost immediately after moving in. For Scott and Ann, Woodgate isn’t just a place—it’s a neighborhood they’re proud to be part of. Be sure to stop and say hello when you see them around the neighborhood!
