Fun
Cinco in the Cul-de-Sac, May 2025

Have you ever waved at a neighbor while walking your dog around our subdivision, asked your next door neighbor for clippings from their rosemary bush, or even just invited a few neighbors over for some wine and cocktails on the patio?

It’s all those fun little things that turn a neighborhood into something more — it becomes a real community! When more of us get to know each other and get involved (even in small ways), Woodgate really starts to feel more connected, more fun, and more like a community you can be proud to live in!

You know the old adage, "The more you know, the less you'll assume." The same holds true for knowing your neighbors!

We’re not talking about a huge time commitment or a long list of responsibilities. We’re just talking about showing up, meeting neighbors, and creating something we can all be proud of.

Here’s why getting involved is actually kind of awesome:

You’ll Feel More Connected

Once you start showing up (even just once in a while) you’ll always find familiar faces, friendly chats, and people you can count on. It’s a great feeling when you walk down the street and actually know your neighbors around you (or even from the other side of the subdivision)!

You’ll Help Create the Fun

We've heard from our survey you want more neighborhood events! So that is what we're doing - and we're open to fresh ideas. If you’ve got ideas, we want to hear them. And if planning neighborhood gatherings isn’t your thing, just helping out here and there makes a big difference too.

You’ll Know What’s Going On

From our neighborhood updates to fun things happening around the corner, being involved means you’re always in the loop. No more “Wait, there was a Cinco de Mayo party?” moments.

You’ll Be Part of Something Bigger

Even small actions—like helping with a neighborhood event, helping with our entrances, or chatting with a neighbor — add up to something special. It builds pride, connection, and a stronger sense of home for everyone.

It’s Just... Fun!

Let’s be honest—life can feel a little too busy sometimes. But being involved in your neighborhood is a great way to do something local, positive, and real. Plus, it just feels good to be part of something that matters.

The Best Part? There’s No Pressure!

You don’t have to lead a committee or show up to every event. Just join in when you can. Start with a hello, come to something that sounds fun, or bring a neighbor along. That’s how it starts!

We’re building a connected neighborhood that feels warm, welcoming, and alive—and we’d love for you to be a part of it. Let’s make this a place we’re all proud to call home!
