December President's Update

Sean Bruce & Family
Sean Bruce & Family

Just like that, Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is quickly approaching! Woodgate is getting festive for the season, the decorations and lights throughout the neighborhood look great.

I want to thank everyone who came to the Fall Festival Potluck on Maple Court. We had around 45 neighbors in attendance to enjoy great homemade food, desserts, and of course great company.

Holiday in the Park

In just two short weeks, we have our Holiday in the Park Party on Sunday, December 14. Woodgate is hosting the event in conjunction with Cambridge Estates and Nottingham Estates. And yes, the cost was split between the three neighborhoods equally! There will be batches of cookies from neighbors, a bounce house, beverages, playtime in the park, and of course photos with Santa! I encourage everyone to make it out to the park. If you haven't been before, it is really a great event that brings our community together for the holidays. Be sure to RSVP before December 12!

Keeping an Eye Out During the Holidays

I also want to send another safety reminder as we approach Christmas. With many homeowners traveling out of town, remember to always lock your doors, leave your lights on, and let your fellow neighbors know. They can keep an eye out on your property while you are gone. We all must stay diligent, as thefts typically increase around the holiday season.

Aside from the Holiday in the Park, that will just about do it for the 2025 WNA Year. I look forward to the new slate of officers coming in and the ideas they have for the next couple of years. I am confident they will keep our core mission in mind. Keeping Woodgate beautiful, safe, and preserving home values.

Thank You!

With this being my last WNA Update as President, I would like to thank my fellow officers on the Board: Ellen McLoughlin, Patti Patak, Ken Wray, and Susan Mitchell for all their hard work this year. You made my job easier and made this year a successful one.

I would also like to thank Brian Penrod, Rick Wood (our newly elected WNA President for 2026), Steve Sainton, and LuAnn Blough for all their hard work on their respective committees. They will all continue next year and look forward to seeing what is next.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for their confidence and support, not only of myself but the rest of the Board this year. I met so many new people this year and it has been a pleasure being President. I hope to see more events next year to help grow our community involvement.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Sean Bruce

WNA President
