The summer has definitely flown by, and the Holidays will be here before we know it! It’s been a busy season in Woodgate, and there’s a lot to catch up on! From the recent Town Hall Meeting to exciting news about upcoming events like National Night Out, the Annual Meeting & Elections, and the return of the Fall Festival, there’s plenty happening in our neighborhood...

Town Hall Meeting Recap
I want to start by thanking everyone who attended the WNA Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, August 23. We had 44 neighbors come together to discuss issues that affect all of us. Every voice matters. Your questions, concerns, ideas, and feedback are helping shape the future of our neighborhood.
There were some great ideas for increasing membership, updates from various committees, outlook on future events, and navigating our online channels and social media space, just to name a few. Although there were some disagreements, we were able to get an idea of what needs to be improved going forward. I will say we can all agree that we were there for the same reason: keeping Woodgate safe and beautiful.
If you did not attend our Town Hall, all updates, meeting notes, and plans are available to view right here on our website. We remain committed to listening, sharing information openly, and making decisions that benefit the entire neighborhood to ensure no one is left out.
Generosity of a Neighbor!
Thanks to the amazing generosity of a fellow Woodgate neighbor, we'll be printing and distributing printed and bound Directories soon! That means all 277 households will be getting a printed copy. We're in the process of finalizing everything and entering into production. Once they're ready, we'll be distributing around the neighborhood. Stay tuned for more info! National Night Out
October 7th is National Night Out. It will take place in the Upper Magnolia Cul-De-Sac from 6-8 p.m. We've registered the function with the Carrollton Police and hope to see everyone there! Be sure to RSVP.
Annual Meeting & Elections
The Annual Woodgate Meeting & Election will take place on October 18th at Kent Elementary from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. We'll discuss the past year, future plans, and elect new Board Members.
I want to remind everyone; to vote in the upcoming election or run for a position on the Board, you do have to be a paid member of WNA. Per our Bylaws, candidates seeking an elected office must announce their intent for a position by October 15, 2025 ( minimum of 72 hours before our annual meeting). Positions available are President, Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. These volunteer roles will serve a 2-year term beginning January 1, 2026.
The Fall Festival is Back!Â
Saturday, November 8, the Woodgate Fall Festival & Potluck returns to Maple Court from 4-7 p.m. More details will be coming soon. If you're interested in volunteering to help at this event, please let us know.
Yard of the Month
I would like to congratulate Alan and Lorraine Laurino at 1012 Clinton as Yard of the Month! That’s two houses in a row for Clinton, but well deserved and great seeing neighbors taking such care of their lawns.
Woodgate Cares Committee Showing the Love!
I would like to thank LuAnn Blough, Lorrie Engel, Deb Moss, and Vi Crowley. They've all worked hard putting together the Woodgate Cares Committee, which has received very positive feedback, is already being utilized, and is a true asset to Woodgate. Find out more about what all they do.
Keeping Woodgate Connected: What to Know About Official WNA Meetings
Lastly, we're very aware of the other gatherings scheduled to happen to discuss Woodgate. While our fellow neighbors are always free to organize their own personal meetings, to avoid any misunderstandings or confusion...the official WNA meetings are where everyone’s input is included in decisions that affect all households (whether you're a paid WNA member or not). Our focus has always been very simple: keeping Woodgate connected, safe and welcoming for everyone. We know it's hard to make everyone happy, but we sure do try!
As we've stated before, we'll continue working together to make Woodgate a place where every neighbor feels respected, heard and valued. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please contact me.

Thank you,
Sean Bruce
